Wahlburgers - Palo Alto

This was my first time trying Wahlburgers, and I had high hopes after seeing the reality show about the Wahlbergs and how this chain was created. I really wanted to enjoy it, but I was disappointed by the bland and overpriced burgers. In terms of flavor and size, Wendy's definitely outshines Wahlburgers. Despite being located on a busy street in Palo Alto with other stores bustling with customers, we were the only diners in the restaurant. The cool decor and celebrity-endorsed burgers could only do so much to make up for the lackluster experience. While I don't mind paying $13 for a double patty burger, I expected more in terms of taste and quality.

We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Despite low expectations, we found the food to be quite good and the service very attentive. The tater tots were fried perfectly, with just the right amount of crispiness. The basic burger had a nice touch of spice in the sauce, and the patty melt was a classic and well-prepared dish. The only downside (if you can even call it that) was that the interior, menus, and signage made the restaurant feel a bit like an Applebee's or another large chain establishment.

Beer was good (Sculpin IPA). Burger was barely warm, medium-sized, ok flavor. Fries and Onion Rings cold. Sent fries back. Replacement fries only slightly warm. Passed Rosottis on the way here, looked like 500 cars in parking lot. Should have stayed there.

The location was nice but I wasn't a fan of the menu items. The onion rings were unlike any I've seen before, but the staff was really cool. Just a bit strange.

Food was very good! Service was great! Family and I felt a little under the weather afterwards, not sure if it had anything to do with it but in the moment food was very yummy.
