El Vaquero West (lake Monticello)

I just picked up a chili Chili Reino, and it's DISGUSTING! I've never seen one made like this. Supposed to b stuffed with cheese but it's something else. And no batter dipped on it, but a couple of soggy Tortilla chips! So I wasted money. I'm actually floored because, again I've never seen one made that way, and it's awful!

Awesome authentic Mexican food. Love this place. If you have been to Amigos it's the exact same thing. Been getting the speedy Gonzales for years!!

This was my first time eating here, so this review is based on my first impressions. My parents live at the lake and recommended it. The restaurant is nice enough. Nothing fancy, but cozy and local, the way it should be, in my opinion. Waiter was nice and attentive. We ordered nachos for two and a couple of drinks. Nachos were tasty and serving size was perfect for two people. In all, we would definitely eat there again and recommend it for others. The food was delicious! This is one of our new favorite places to go. Also, another customer paid for our meal, so we really want to say thank you to that person or those people. We are definitely going to pay it forward!

Hot authentic food. Freshly made. Oh so good. Salsa and chips. Fried ice cream.
