Riverhouse Waterfront Reef Grill

Great ambience on the water. My husband and I went here for dinner on Sun. Our waitress was helpful with the menu, attentive, and wonderful. As far as the food... We got the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. I don't know who on here recommended these, but they were not good. I'm from GA and know about my southern food, and my husband who's a FL native didn't think they were great either. I asked for ranch to try and make them taste better. The ranch didn't taste like ranch. Our server said it's like a Ranch Paprika, but to both of us it tasted like tartar sauce, mayo, and paprika mixed together. Very thick consistency. Highly Recommend getting new ranch dressing. I love my ranch. For dinner I got the chicken with risotto. The portions are very small here, but I did enjoy my chicken and the risotto was delicious. My husband got the salmon. He said it was okay, but liked my dish better. My husband wished he tried the Lobster pot pie, so when we return we will try that... And lastly.. The hostesses were great! One complimented my outfit and said I looked cute. Whether it was bull or not, I appreciated it nonetheless, as she didn't have to say anything and chose to. That is great customer service!

Always good for and service. View is nice. Can be crowded so try to make reservation. Crab cakes good. Reasonably priced.

While we have eaten here numerous times, recently we were seriously disappointed. The slow service and the cold food did not make our Saturday night dinner with friends glow. The waiter apologized and the manager placed the blame on the new kitchen staff. Ultimately that's his responsibility;

Disappointed. Chowder was tasty but just warm. Wife's salmon was burnt and my fish and chips apparently sat on the warming table as it wasn't served hot. This place is long overdue for renovation. The decor is non existent and the floor is sticky and absolutely disgusting. I'll have to see some positive reviews in regards to these issues before we will return.
