Hong Kong Lite - Palatine

Soooo delish. The Egg Foo Young, is amazing. One of my favorite things to eat, and they don't disappoint. Plus, they deliver to the northern end of Arlington Heights.

I recently visited this restaurant to pick up my order, but I had some trouble with my card. While I was on the phone with my bank, the woman at the counter kindly offered to let me pay the next time I came in. I eventually sorted things out with my bank and made my payment. In today's world, it's refreshing to find such a wonderful establishment. The staff here are truly genuine people. I won't go anywhere else for Chinese food—the food is fantastic!

We placed a delivery order about an hour before closing, and it arrived quickly, with everything hot and fresh. The egg rolls were quite large and even had baby shrimp inside. The chicken fried rice was average; it consisted mainly of rice, chicken, and soy sauce, but was cooked nicely. The Sweet and Sour Chicken stood out with its light breading, crispy texture, and generous portion. However, the highlight of the meal was the Happy Family dish. The ginger flavor in the brown sauce combined perfectly with the tender vegetables, beef, chicken, and jumbo shrimp—it was fantastic!

I've been visiting this restaurant for years and will likely keep coming back. While the portion sizes have decreased and prices have increased, I find that somewhat justifiable. I recently tried the “Large Salt and Pepper Shrimp” for the first time, and it did not disappoint—definitely one of their standout dishes. Overall, I highly recommend trying this place; the food is truly delicious!

I hadn't enjoyed good Chinese food in years until I visited this restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious! The lunch specials are definitely worth every penny. I highly recommend Hong Kong Lite.
