Balthasar - Paderborn

Dinner at Balthasar is an experience you will never forget! The staff pay such attention to every detail, aiming for perfection in customer service thank you and 5 stars! The food creations we were presented with in our surprise menue were overwhelmingly tasteful and presented on the plates like pieces of art. Overall a truly gast(e)rotic evening!

A hearty disappointment. The food is tasteless. No matter whether fish or meat is more than salt and pepper, there is apparently not in the kitchen. We were last with Aan de Poel and Haerlin in Hamburg, perhaps we expected too much. Since the prices in Paderborn are also so chosen, you should also bring more to the table as owner. The drinks were qualitatively as antique as the menu. The waiting period between the 3rd and 4th course of more than 60 minutes was extremely unusual and without a comment on it from the kitchen or service it seems unprofessional. The house's chief welcome I find nice, that he gives me the completely overpaid wine card without comment led to an irritation at the table. This is not the case with my grandparents at the table, the evening at this place would have been finished immediately. There's a sommelier for that. The espresso at the end was again the hint that the boss of the house either does not drink it or it doesn't matter how it tastes. D to be bitter is either the machine wrongly set or burned beans are used. There's a barista for that. All in all, the Balthasar must be attested that seemingly the desire has been lost and this has been replaced by satiety. Maybe the boss should take a month's vacation and enjoy a meal in modern kitchens. At the service there was nothing to suspend, the young ladies obviously tried to make it all right.

Overall absolutely recommended. Not exactly cheap, but worth every euro. Food was excellent.

A really beautiful restaurant with a feel-good atmosphere. A real gourmet dinner. The operation very nice. Welcome by the owner personally. It's really not better. We are looking forward to the next evening at the Balthasar.
