I went for a bite after work. They were busy preparing for the evening. I waited a bit but I had a very friendly waiter. He was all over the place yet giving me his attention and kept me informed regarding my food. Giving me an update until I got my food. The food was good and worth the wait. The Manager was quiet and doing his thing. I enjoyed my food and drink but my overall experience was the great service from the young man. Not sure if I will go there again.
Good wine and service, but that's where it ends. The first hint should have been the ludicrously large menu (how on earth can any of the ingredients be fresh when you have 150+ items on your menu). Then, if you're going to make your own pasta, make it better than box pasta, not worse. The meat ravioli was flavourless cooked mince (with no garlic, or anything other than mince) in a sauce that was only tomato paste, nothing else. My husband's was even worse, with pasta that must have been hanging in the window for six years it was so hard. If this cost R45 a plate I wouldn't mind, but it costs triple that. Not worthwhile at all.
Waiter not trained. Could not even pronounce some of menu's dishes. We had to point it on menu. Lucky for my family they ordered pizza and not spare ribs. Fries had the taste of amonnia and the ribs not the best I've had. Even Spur's ribs much better. Not sure what made me fork out R270 the next day for medication, but something made me extremely ill. Could not keep the ribs and chips in the same night. Place was empty but still we waited too long for our food. First and last bad experience there. Previous visits not bad, but this one awful.
What a lovely evening. the gastfreundschaft, the ambiente, eating, drinks and personal love to detail makes luigi worthy to 5 stars. I will definitely recommend this hidden jewellery to all my friends. Thank you, luigi.
