Oude Wellington

The breakfast was delicious! I would definitely recommend it. Although the service was a bit unorganized and slow, we still enjoyed our meal and found the staff to be friendly.

We were at the bnb and decided to dinner in the restaurant. had an absolutely delicious sirloin with brand bones, cooked to perfection with beautiful shoestringries and vegetables. I had to help stop the steak. we had the doolhof dark lady to go with him excellent and ended with some of the house brand that was also excellent.

We had a fantastic experience today. The staff greeted us warmly and were very friendly. Our waitress was attentive and efficient. We opted for the daily specials menu and enjoyed delicious biltong and port soup. We also had a tasty dish of polenta and lamb. To top it off, I tried the date pudding with caramel sauce while my partner had a cheesecake instead, at the suggestion of the chef. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

I would have expected a more welcoming greeting from the staff and chef. Unfortunately, the wait staff didn't seem knowledgeable or able to offer recommendations. The hostess did her best and I commend her for her friendly attitude and willingness to assist where she could. However, the food was a disappointment. The Pasta Special was overcooked and the portions were insufficient. The pasta lacked flavor and when we asked for cheese, we were rudely dismissed. The main issue seemed to be the chef, who was unfriendly and seemed more interested in wandering around outside the restaurant. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place.

A fabulous scenic country restaurant. I had the Yellow Tail on bed of salad that is a delicious health on a plate. The resident ostrich gave us a dance.
