Uptown Bar Restaurant - Oxford

A few years ago, my husband and I had a great experience at this restaurant with delicious food and excellent service. Unfortunately, when we returned this past Friday with my Mom and Stepdad, who live nearby, it was a completely different story. We waited for 40 minutes without even having our drink orders taken, so we decided to leave. The atmosphere was musty, there was only one waitress working on a busy Friday night, and it was clear that other diners were frustrated by the long wait for their food. It was a disappointing experience, especially considering the potential this restaurant has in a growing town with the right management and support.

This restaurant offers delicious food and excellent customer service. We dined in for dinner and found the price per person to be in the $20-30 range. The food, service, and atmosphere all received top marks of 5. Highly recommended dishes include the Loaded Baked Potato and Ribeye Entree.

We had a lovely time! The service was attentive and the food was yummy. I had the lamb chops and they were tender and moist. Note, while spicy, the collards were the best I have eaten.
