I looked at the menu in advance and wanted ALL the food. Made plans with family to meet for lunch and a drink. It was a beautiful day for a ride to Oxford. I love that the decor reflects it is a female veteran owned establishment with American flags all over. We got the Pimento dip to start, and our server, Ivy, recommended getting extra chips and veggies.. thank goodness. Not sure what the pita chips are made from, but holy moly they were good! I don't drink beer, but had a taste of the Cider and it was pretty good. I stuck with the Mimosas. Other items ordered were the chicken sandwich with okra and the chicken and Waffles. All were delicious and everything was priced very reasonable which was refreshing. Ivy and Blake took great care of us, were friendly and were hustling to serve everyone. We were there a while and there was a shift change. Kelly and Mark took the reins and were just as great. We will be back till we try ALL the food.
When the establishment first opened it was absolutely great! The people were super kind, welcoming and the food ROCKED. Now…not so much. Some of the waitstaff can be very dry, mundane and slightly rude. They don’t really care about their appearance and I don’t know about everyone else, but showing up to a job where you constantly interact with people, I’d expect a little more decency in appearance. This is subjective of course. The food has become very mediocre, even when switching up your choices each visit. The best part about here now is the fact you can go grab a beer and listen to live music! I was born and raised in Oxford NC and this brewery has definitely changed the game for the city but as time goes by, it just seems they care less and less about customer satisfaction.
Zero stars. Terrible service, like the worst service I have ever received. The food is good, the beer is good; however, not good enough to be treated like a complete inconvenience. I have been twice and both times I felt completely disrespected and disregarded. Do yourself a favor and skip the head/heartache.
First time visitor. Surprisingly fun place in quaint, downtown Oxford. I had chicken and waffles and a plenitude of beers. Customer service was exceptional and the food was extraordinary piping hot, well seasoned and tender. I was nearly aghast by this blind find that is truly a hidden gem. While I understand there's a Durham, NC locations thsts closer to me I'll likely drive the extra 25 minutes to visit this Oxford location. Give them a try.
