Parking is in basement with very few spots, overflow is across the street in bank parking lot. A full size car or standard pick up will have issues finding one of the few parking spots that will accommodate them.Entire side of Hotel has scaffolding. Specifically asked if my room was on side with scaffolding and was told no, I don 't think so WRONG! See pic. Very frustrating the lack of doing your job in today 's world. Still a nice stay but employees need to pay more attention.Walkability: One block from town square.
This place is absolutely wonderful. The property is beautiful, clean, and convenient. But the staff! I cannot say enough good things. They were friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. Great location and I will not stay anywhere else’s in Oxford! My family loved it! Thank you for making our stay a 1000 out of 100!Rooms: 5/5
We checked into our room and went to shower. My wife found a ball of hair on the shower wall. I don’t know about anyone else but finding another persons hair in your room/shower is pretty gross. There was also dust all over the tv stand and fridge. Everything else was clean and smelled good. The room was tidy and the rest of the bathroom looked fine. I would just suggest that the housekeepers do a more thorough cleaning job because that was just disgusting.
Room wasn't cleaned and was told it could not be cleaned at 5:00 (when I returned for the first time) bc staff had left for the day. bathroom wasn't the cleanest. floor and grout looked very worn and unclean. shower head barely worked
Having never been to the southern states we took a driving trip through Louisiana Mississippi and Alabama. One of our favorite stops was Oxford, Mississippi. The Chancellor’s House was an amazing place to stay. Located close to the shops and restaurants we loved being able to walk everywhere. It was a very short drive from the hotel to Ole Miss University which was lots of fun to see. Our hotel room was lovely with a separate bedroom, living room, small kitchen and even had 2 bathrooms. We would definitely stay there again.
