City Grocery - Oxford

Absolutely the best food and service we have had in the last few years of dining out!!!! The waiter went above and beyond, the food was some of the most delicious I've ever eaten and the atmosphere was fun and relaxing. If you're in Oxford, don't miss an opportunity to eat here!!

It's hard to wow me with shrimp and grits since charleston sc has some of the best. But these were really good! And the girl at the bar was so helpful with recommendations. Banana pudding cake, yum! Just a great place for this traveler to enjoy the evening.

My favorite shrimp and grits was superb as usual! I have had the same dish at other restaurants all over the US, and nothing compares! When the last bite goes in my mouth, I almost want to cry because I know the meal is over! Thank you, John Currence, for putting the cherry on top of my birthday cake!

Our dinner was just wonderful. Our waitress Sierra was great. I had the Pork Osso Bucco with rice grit risotto and Bill had the Shrimp and Grits. We decided to walk the square looking for some dessert but came right back to City Grocery for a poached pear dessert and a piece of wonderful chocolate cake !!

I call The Square in Oxford ‘Little Charleston’ because it is really hard to find a bad meal. City Grocery was amazing. The Shrimp ‘n Grits were a fest for the palate. My wife’s short ribs were like butter melting in your mouth.
