The dining experience here is very casual—there's no table service. The menu is posted on the wall, and you place your order either by number or simply by pointing (I'm serious). The cashier was friendly, though her English was a bit limited, and my Spanish only extends to ordering a beer and asking for the restroom. Despite this, we managed just fine. We kicked off our meal with pupusas stuffed with cheese, which were amazing. For our main courses, I went with empanadas, which are tasty fried turnovers filled with chicken, served with a delicious marinated cabbage known as curtido. My wife chose the carne asada, which is perfectly marinated and incredibly tender beef, accompanied by homemade tortillas, rice, and black beans. The food was exceptional—full of flavor, tender, and nicely spicy, with generous portions. In addition to the fantastic food, we were pleasantly surprised by the price. We both left feeling full, and with drinks and a tip, our total came in under $30. There's also a small grocery store next door that offers a variety of Latin products. Since our first visit, we've returned several times for takeout and have tried nearly everything on the menu. We haven't had a disappointing meal yet!
This delightful little Mexican restaurant serves up delicious food and is conveniently situated right next to a Latino grocery store.
The food was neither fresh nor flavorful. I ordered a loroco pupusa, but it didn't have any loroco in it at all!
Great grocery store with excellent service!
