Mr. Shawarma - Ottawa

The Shawarma place in Ottawa is the best I've ever been to! The portions are amazing, and the staff is friendly and efficient.

I came Saturday and I Wanted to have dinner at Mr shawarma, But the service was slower than everr. I understand that on Remembrance Day it’s busier than regular days, however, there was ONE staff member working only ! I used to come every weekend but I don’t think I got time to wait all this long.

I have decided to no longer dine at this restaurant. Today, I visited with my mom to try the beef plate. To our disappointment, the portion of beef served was much smaller compared to other restaurants, and the plate was covered with a thin layer of beef that only filled half of it. It felt like we were served a sandwich instead of a proper beef plate, all for the price of $23. I am frustrated with their dishonesty and will not be returning.

The best falafel sandwiches.The falafels are perfect and crispy (not dry like other places) and the bread is pressed to be crunchy on the outside yet soft on the inside, yum. Their toppings always taste fresh and they're generous with the hummus and sesame sauce, well portioned. The dudes behind the counter are always pleasant, can tell they take pride in creating edible masterpieces.Shawarmas can be messy, but I've almost always enjoyed a clean eating experience. My one small complaint is that the last time I was there someone didn't close the end of the sandwich? Still, a little food falling out was no big deal because my tastebuds are always happy.Vegetarian options: I'm vegan, and I'm stoked on the falafel sandwhich.

Mr. Shawarma is the best shawarma spot in town, according to my family and me. Whether we order family platters or sandwiches, the food is always well-prepared, clean, and served with fast and friendly service. The flavors are delicious and the portions are generous, making it worth every penny. If you haven't checked out this place yet, you're definitely missing out.
