We had recently lunch in the cheese shop and, fully disclosed, I had a little disappointed feeling. After reading other reviews, I have brought a load with a connected restaurant and a little more to sit down. Instead, it is a business (fairly small,) with minimal sitting opportunity rushes into a segment of the shop. the seat (where we were) was a little haphazard (dirty-ish table and uneven seats.) we placed a part of our order on the theke (we packed salads and drinks from a cooler) and found a place to sit. it was pretty busy, so I thought the people liked it. While my suppe was decent and the salat was fair, it felt like we had eaten in the back of a fish and bait shop. I know I could be too critical, but that's probably because I had very different expectations, none of which was fulfilled. all in all it was an average experience. I personally wouldn't go back, but I could see that others have a nice time.
We had the graduation party of my daughter, who was so a classy cared for by the cheese shop. eating was hot and tasty could not be satisfied another great experience with this equipment?.
The cheesey potato soup was amazing! The atmosphere was really nice, lots of old antiques you could look at. And the food only took a little while to be made. There were also different themed tables inside. Definitely would recommend!
Traveling home from Starved Rock, recommended by the glass blowing studio about a mile away. We really enjoyed this little pace. I had the chicken panini and the other order was grilled cheese. I highly recommend if your passing through and looking for a local place for lunch.
