Loncheria El Primo - OTHÓN P. BLANCO

Terminamos cenando en la tienda de almuerzos "Al Primo", situada en la esquina de la calle Huauchinango con Cherna. El aspecto del restaurante es el típico de un local mexicano, con mesas y sillas de plástico que pueden parecer simples para algunos. Sin embargo, en lo que realmente importa, la comida no decepciona. Incluso tuvimos que esperar 5 minutos para conseguir mesa, lo cual fue un indicio claro de que la comida sería buena, y así fue. Pedimos una hamburguesa con papas, una quesadilla y una empanada, y además de ser económico, todo estaba delicioso. La atención fue un poco lenta, pero el lugar estaba realmente lleno, por lo que lo comprendimos. El restaurante cuenta con baños internos y en su menú también tienen opciones vegetarianas. El personal fue muy amable, aunque al hacerle algunas preguntas sobre la comida, la chica que nos atendió no supo qué responder (a pesar de que hablábamos el mismo idioma). En comparación con otros restaurantes turísticos, solo hay ciertos horarios en los que no puedes encontrar un lugar para sentarte a almorzar porque está siempre lleno.

Restaurant qui nous avait ete recommandé par un habitant.Vraiment très moyen , plats sans saveur particulière nous avons connu beaucoup mieux au Mexique.

Happened upon this place and what a gem!! Super friendly staff and AMAZING food!! Be careful of the HOT HOT salsa!!

{This review is written in London after my return. I had pics taken of our lunch here (as so impressed) on Monday 13/3 afternoon but remember not being able to find it on TA. With good wifi/internet speeds I tried again and lo and behold found a recent review in English from an impressed Arizonan (?). No pics though so I shall certainly be the first! I hope I can remember details! My fellow reviewer did a good job! Thanks!}We three British middle-aged guys wanted a light lunch away from the hordes of noisy topless frat boys and other cruise ship invaders (I hope our aforementioned friend was not one).We were nearby trying to find prices and tickets for any coach to Coba the next day. The recommended (by a fellow traveller) Maquesitas stall on the corner of the taxi rank/football field was empty as the chap had closed early.There was a basic place on the corner with a few tables outside too with a few tourists seated. SKY Football was on the big screen and mostly locals (including a family) eating and joining on with the Man U v Chelsea Match. Coca-Cola chairs, tables, cloths and menu in Spanish. We knew what we wanted (not Coca-Cola!), just beers, tacos and salads. I think they only did juices as no beers on the table pics (our default lunchtime drink!). The plastic green cups indicate this. I think I made a joke about beer in teapots (in Indian dry states). The (priceless) menu is on the wall (sorry it is blurred) with no booze. I think I had the Horchata and my friend a Tamarind.The match finished and highlights of the league cup from the day before were shown. My home team Millwall (saw them two weeks beforehand) was against Spurs.We ordered and it all came quickly. All was generous and tasty! Tacos were well presented (bit not in a fancy posh way) and the avocado salad had lots of avocado slices! All for a good price and it certainly filled us. I do not seem to have pics of the menu or bill. They had wifi which I used to search for the place and I may have deleted those pics way back thinking I would not need them. I picked up their wifi a couple of times on passing that corner as it was very useful! We left very sated and happy!Notes:Yes the green salsa was hot! I could have done with our Arizonan's warning!Chelsea 1 - Man U 0 and Spurs 6 - Millwall 0 (no one likes us, we don't care! - it's my home team in Lewisham, SE London)
