Contribuiți la feedbackLovely food, we had a short trip to Oslo and we went to two different Olivia's because it's reliable and nice. The staff were so friendly and the atmosphere and decor is warm. Highly recommended, very affordable too!
In my mussel dish there were almost only empty shells. When I complained, the waiter said they all fell out of the bowls under the noodles. Then he sees one unbelievable. No goodwill. When leaving, the chef quickly took a calamari from a dish that had already been ordered. Expensive on top of that. Give this restaurant a wide berth.
One more chance this time and they messed up again. I think they don’t under train but BADLY train their staff. Especially the hostess Sara. What a mouth she has on her! Being in the hospitality or service industry, there seems to be no humility. She wipes a wet table with a wet cloth and then puts the menus on top of it and says you should have waited till the table was dry! I mean this after we have waited for 25 mins outside after being promised a table in 5 and then we see our table being given 5 burly Norwegians. Absolutely appalling behaviour on Olivia’s part. I hope the management takes notice.
I took a snapshot of the menu that was presented and written in charge of the black board from the sidewalk, and when I came in or offered a menu that was a lot simpler and a lot more you’re in selections what I asked the server why she said that the menu were given dozen overstress the limited labor resources of the kitchen As recommended I wound up getting what is an affective beef stroganoff, which is a sour cream, bass and sirloin beef sauce, very minimal with the pasta being under done al dente and not very good quality I noticed the pizza for one of my other dining friends, and Rust seem like it was under cooked white bread that was thin This was mediocre. Food meant to keep your food cost down, and they keep your labor cost down. I would recommend to anyone not to come in in the large group because you’ll be short change in your selection and food quality. I might come back to try something which is more than -5 dining. I do know that you do not offer ravioli or other, but the cheapest easiest to prepare Italian pasta dishes even in your extended menu
The best way to describe Olivia to my fellow Americans is like a nicer version of Olive Garden. They are all over the city and you know what you're getting when you go there decent food, reasonably priced for the area, good selection, and great service. We went to this specific location and had phenomenal service in a good setting but saw several others pro tip, if the one on Aker Brygge is full (busier area), walk 5 minutes to this one!
