Contribuiți la feedbackThis place is opposite our hotel and we have unfortunately gone to the main area for dinner, which was not very good, came home here on the way and absolutely we dine somewhere else, the staff, the ambience and place is wonderful! We had a nice chat with the...owner who is charming and speaks very good English to the realization of our French was very poor! Dear man and will definitely eat again when you go through!
We used this website to search for a long journey from the south of France. Since it's just a short walk from our hotel, and even if only limited reviews, but all well, we booked when we happen at 6.30 a.m. and... after opening for our 7.30 a.m. reservation. Nice old world restaurant. Pretty dark inside with a nice cozy feeling. We felt a bit lonely to begin, but then the locals began to come into numbers. Always a good sign. Loading on the menu, but we felt like a single course, so all three of us chose the Burger Maison for some reason. God knows how many burgers we have eaten over our long life between us, but we all agree that this was something special. We ate Posh Burger in some very expensive restaurants, but these were different class. A real burger of real minced meat over a inch thick that breaks when you cut it. Several sprouts of bacon and the most tasty cheese ever, which really gave it a kick, all in a traditional burger halls. A small salad and a massive silver plate of piping hot real chips and voila! Just a burger, but extraordinary. We had a bottle of wine and four Pelforth beers, and the bill came to 71 euros. We couldn't eat or drink. We were all together! We talked to the lady who leads the place whose English is much better than any of our French, and she told us that it was a family business that went for 50 years. Her husband was the cook and her daughter was waiting for the tables. It sounds silly big, a burger too big, but that was absolutely great, as all the food looked past us all night.
A few years ago my wife and I went to this beautiful little restaurant with a very good friend living in the city, we enjoyed the food, excellent service and pleasant atmosphere. On a last trip to Orleans we have L '... Etoile d'Or for a meal we enjoyed again. To the outside, this little jewel could easily be overlooked, which would be a missed opportunity to taste extremely good local cooked foods prepared and served by owners Pierre Stella, and enjoy the typical French atmosphere, which might eventually be why you could be in the first place in France. If you are looking for good food in which country you visit, then you have to go to the places where the locals eat, and as far as we are concerned, this is one of life's great little finds. If you visit the city of Orleans looking for an authentic French culinary experience some of the typical tourist traps should really L ' Etoile d' Or an attempt, you will certainly not go hungry, so save space for a desert.
This restaurant comes out of the beaten paths. the reception is extremely user-friendly to such a point that you feel at home. The plate has a high-quality price ratio I've never met, and believe me, I'm moving a lot. The presentation of the dishes is classic, but, on the other hand, from the first bite, one is surprised by the gustative quality it is really delicious.Even in high-end restaurants, one does not often meet this pleasure in the mouth. This chef must not be aware of his talent. Bravo to the whole team. We'll go back there regularly.
Restaurant with a dice style. very kind, efficient and professional service. great choice of dishes of the day, a simple but well executed kitchen: a rich dishes without chichis. I'll go back!
