It's located in a corner and some trees that covers it so you would have to closely pay attention. So I'm very keen on decor and it was hardly any decor at all. It was a little out of date with the furniture. What I can tell you it reminded me of a Sports Bar instead of restaurant. They have at least 4-5 televisions in there so you're able to watch your games while eating. I was amazed at the prices $28.95 all you can eat and if you wanted to add the hot pot that would have been $31.95 for both which comes with unlimited rice however if you wanted fried rice instead which be a up charge of $2 additional. Now I had a discrepancy about when we were ready to pay my son which is 10 years old only ate chicken and some of the rice paid the same as an adult. I've visited a lot of restaurants all over the world and if it's a price for the child that is what we paid at the end of the night but, this restaurant goes by height which was very weird to me. Please excuse my son that he is growing rapidly and it's not his fault that he is slightly 55 inches . Now I can definitely tell you that they had a lot to choose from both the meat and vegetables bar. They had a limited amount to choose from on the dessert also with ice cream as well if that was your choice of your dessert. I love how the meat was marinated due to sodium not being healthy for you. If they do some updates on the restaurant decor this restaurant would go to a 5 star. We had a great waitress that was so helpful and acknowledgeable.
Honestly this place is our secret hidden gem. It is so spectacular and the service is amazing. I really hate to spill the beans because it is never super crowded but we want them to be successful which is more important. It is also pretty chock full of options and meats and veggies and desserts. So so so good.
Nice dinner price of $28.99. Not too crowded. Non-intrusive wait staff. Near home on the east side of town. It was a very tasty and delightful all you can eat experience. Once this place gets its overdue face lift, it would earn a full 5 stars.
So we came here after a late night movie in Waterford. Never come out to this area very often and we just wanted somewhere that wasn't closing immediately. Hot pot is usually always good. Came here and it wasn't crowded at all, food was kinda bland. Got 2 broths. Miso and meat broth. The miso was way better than the meat broth the meat broth was very lacking in flavor. The sauces were good, the all you can eat bar had a decent selection but I wondered how long all that raw food had been sitting out for hours. The foodbar and frozen meat case definitely weren't very clean. The tongs that tons of people touched with their hands were just sitting inside the meat containers...at least I boiled everything in scalding hot broth to kill any potential contaminants. It wasn't the worst meal at all. But it definitely wasn't the best. The service was almost non-existent but that's okay because it's an all you can eat place you mostly do the service yourself. Eh service. Kinda dirty restaurant. Sorta bland food. It was very filling at least. For the price we paid, I think I would go elsewhere for sure next time.
Danketsu used to be super great, and the service was awesome. They had great specials, options, and sauces. I'm the past year their prices have skyrocketed, the quality has tanked, and the service just isn't as good. All the specials are gone too even though they're still advertised on their social media. I also had a snail in my food last time I went which was just... not the best.
