Contribuiți la feedbackFIRST I STOPPED AT THE GAS STATION NEXT TO THIS PLACE TO GET SOME DONUTS AND COOKIES. THOSE COOKIES ARE WAY BETTER THAN YOU'D EXPECT. BUT I THOUGHT I BETTER GET SOME PROTEIN TO GO WITH MY CARBS, AND SO ENTER PANDA 88. THIS PLACE'S ATMOSPHERE IS DYNAMITE, STRAIGHT TNT. SUPER ASIAN STUFF, SUPER CLASSY COUNTER-TOP, EVEN A TV PLAYING SOME WEIRD CHANNEL. THE BATHROOM WAS A TREAT. I GOT THE SESAME CHICKEN. REALLY, ALL CHINESE RESTAURANTS SHOULD JUST OFFER ONE ITEM ON THEIR MENU: SESAME CHICKEN. SURELY NO ONE ORDERS ANYTHING ELSE, SO RATHER THAN LET ALL THAT OTHER STOCK GO TO WASTE, JUST STICK TO THE CREAM OF THE CROP, THAT SESAME SLOP. BUT FOR REAL, THEIR SESAME CHICKEN WAS NOT TOO BAD. BETTER THAN MING'S, THOUGH NOT QUITE TO RICE BOWL OR THREE HAPPINESS LEVEL. BUT, LIKE MING'S, YOU ONLY GET A JIGGLYPUFF'S AMOUNT OF FOOD. I MEAN, WHEN I GRABBED MY BAG TO GO, I WAS WONDERING IF THERE WAS ANYTHING INSIDE MY TO-GO BOX. I IMAGINE PICKING UP A JIGGLYPUFF WOULD ELICIT A SIMILAR INTERNAL QUERY. BUT HERE'S THE CRAZY THING, APPARENTLY JIGGLYPUFF WEIGHS 12 POUNDS. I MEAN, DOES THAT SURPRISE YOU LIKE IT SURPRISED ME? CHECK THAT POKEDEX, IT'S TRUE! MAYBE THERE'S MORE TO PUFF THAN MEETS THE EYE. AND MAYBE THERE'S MORE TO PANDA 88 THAN MEETS THE EYE. ACTUALLY NOT TOO LONG AGO I HAD A DREAM WHERE SNORLAX WAS A PLAYABLE CHARACTER IN SUPER SMASH BROS MELEE FOR THE NINTENDO XBOX. HIS MECHANICS WERE EXACTLY LIKE JIGGLYPUFF'S, EXCEPT HE WAS BIGGER AND STRONGER. I SPENT MOST OF THE NEXT DAY WONDERING WHY I HADN'T TRIED THIS CHARACTER YET, TILL I REALIZED HE WASN'T ACTUALLY IN THE GAME AND I HAD ONLY DREAMT IT. THAT WAS DISAPPOINTING. OH, THIS PLACE HAS PIBB, SO PLUS HALF A STAR. I GOTCHU PIBB FAM. 3.5/5

Good restaurant. Stylish interior and a good serving staff. I asked for a recommendation from the server, something uncommon that was savory. He pointed out 2 dishes. The one I got was Mongolian beef. It was delicious and filling. A good amount of food for the price. I will definitely comeback of I'm in the area.
Hid away. It is hid away in a little strip mall in Ralston. And the sign looks very similar to the Panda Express sign. Do not be fooled, this place is much better. My wife and I visited recently for lunch. The person behind the counter was very patient, helpful and very friendly. My wife ordered the sweet and sour chicken. The chicken was coated with a nicely crisp batter. The vegetables were nice and crunchy and the sauce was more tangy then sweet. I ordered the Panda 88 combination special. It has chicken, beef and shrimp in a slightly spicy brown sauce. I liked it very much. My hot and sour soup was very flavorful. The pot stickers I ordered were nicely cooked and slightly crisp around the edges. The filling was very good, and at $2.99 for 6, a very good value. Our accompanying egg rolls were perfectly cooked and also very good . We will be coming back to try more of the items on the menu.
Stopped in for a late weekday lunch. Overall, a fairly priced Asian restaurant (selling common Chinese-American dishes) with decent food. Lunch entrées run about $7 each. General's Chicken had a good flavor. It was devoid of vegetables which may please some people and bother others. Portion was fair. A couple of the pieces of chicken had a bit of a "warmed over flavor" hinting that they were precooked. Breading on the chicken wasn't overly thick and had a nice crispiness to it. General's Chicken is generally a spicy dish and their menu notes it as such too. While it certainly had more kick than other dishes I certainly wouldn't label it hot or spicy. It's a rather mild heat. Crab Rangoon were actually Cream Cheese Rangoon. There was no crab or faux crab (krab) in the mixture at all. That's pretty common at cheaper Asian restaurants. I don't even bat an eye at it. However, I do wish they'd call them what they actually are. Complimentary Egg Roll was not very good. I doubt they roll them here. The vegetables on the inside had a mushiness to them that only freezing and thawing would typically create. They also tasted off. Certainly some of my least favorite egg rolls in the Omaha area. Service was friendly. You order at the counter and then they bring your food to you. When you're done you leave your plates on the table and they clean up after you. Restaurant décor doesn't give me the impression this was always an Asian restaurant. Looks like perhaps something else was in here first and then they modified it to meet their needs. It is clean and well-maintained. No rundown dirty restaurant here. It is not affiliated with Hiro 88, Salt 88, or Pana 88. They have a drive thru as well.
