Their buffalo flavor is simply outstanding, and they stick to perfection by serving only whole wings – and boy, are the portions massive! ?? At $30 for a dozen whole wings, it 's a deal you can 't pass up, especially when planning a party! ? The 20-minute prep time is impressive, allowing you to dive right into those delectable wings. ?? Overall, in the KC metro area, The Peanut undoubtedly reigns as the best place for wings. ???Parking: Multiple number of slots in the parking area. You will not encounter a problem finding parking here.
As a Buf/NFalls, NY resident, I was pretty excited to try out this chicken wing spot in Kansas City that advertises their wings as equal or better than my WNY wings; but I gotta be honest, the wings were just not up to par. Real Buffalo wings from Western New York have a totally different style, and these didn't come close. They served these big, full size wings that were dripping with grease, the blue cheese was watery (not chunky), and the taste was just not that great. Maybe reconsider your recipe too greasy guys! Remember real B wings are crispy, extra hot, and a taste great with a couple beers. Yes in Buf you have to cleanup afterwards but not to this extent. On the bright side, the restaurant itself had a great vibe. The place looked nice, and the people working there were super friendly and provided excellent service. So, even though the wings don’t matchup to WNY wings, the overall experience was great.
Great bar. Best whole wings you can get in the kc metro area. They are also a whiskey bar which is a plus for me. Try the smoked old fashioned. Really good!!Food: 5/5
First time coming here. Our server Cheyenne was quick and knowledgeable. The food presentation was impeccable and taste was great as well. Price was reasonable. Will definitely be back.
I ordered a chicken, bacon, and avocado salad to go. The waitresses told me to ask the bartender. He walked over and said, Carryout order. I replied yes and gave my name. Those were the only words spoken. It wasn 't a friendly atmosphere. The bag didn 't have any plastic utensils, napkins, or salt. My kitchen cabinets are being repainted, so the frames are sealed off and had wet primer on them. I had to dig through stacked trays to find silverware. The chicken was bland and needed salt, but I couldn 't get in the cabinets. The cucumbers were cut way too thick, so I cut them up. The Peanut on 127th and Metcalf is much better. I ordered the same thing there a week ago, and it was delicious. They were also friendly and considerate on Metcalf. It is very rare that I leave a bad review. The only good thing was that it was ready in 10 minutes. Perhaps a few more minutes of prep would have made a difference.
