Basar Latino - Olathe

This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the Olathe/Overland Park area. I absolutely love the tacos al pastor with orange sauce. The Mexican Coke is fantastic as well. The staff is friendly, and the service is quick. Five stars!

I haven't personally ordered a full meal, but I have friends who enjoy different items on the menu as well; I can only speak on the tacos. The Salsa Verde is fantastic, and the Pico de Gallo is perfectly spiced—just the right amount of heat. The Rojo sauce is also a must-try if you appreciate authentic tacos. My teenager was blown away when I brought him here, and I told him it was the closest thing to the taco experiences I had growing up in Southern California. The location even features an impressive selection of Mexican pastries! Don’t forget to grab some fresh flour tortillas on your way home if you want to elevate your homemade Mexican dishes. The interior takes me back to my childhood, but if you're expecting a typical Mexican dining experience from Johnson County, this isn't the place for you. This restaurant caters to those who understand that tacos are best enjoyed with a bottled soda. My personal favorite accompaniment is Orange Jarritos. They keep the sodas ice-cold at the register, just how they should be!

Absolutely fantastic! The ceviche is incredible. On Tuesdays, they offer a taco special that's not to be missed. If you're a fan of street tacos, this is definitely the spot to visit in Olathe!

Delicious street tacos! I recently discovered this grocery restaurant and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. The counter service is excellent, and the authenticity is fantastic. It's no longer a hidden gem!

I found this restaurant when I first arrived in the area, and I’ve been a loyal customer ever since. It used to take me 37 minutes to reach it, but now that I’ve moved closer, it’s only a few minutes away!
