Bread And Roses Bakery - Ogunquit

Bread and Roses used top be THE best bakery on the south coast of m=Maine, when they were a storefront in Ogunquit. Previously gave t;hem a 5 star review. No longer. Success apparently went to their heads. They closed the Ogunquit location and moved everything to their commercial bakery (i.e, wholesale) in Wells. Place looks like a dump from the outside, and they were already closed for the season before Columbus Day weekend. This is a place that used to be open almost all year round. They 've lost myself and several other loyal customers with their poor decision.

Worst cookie I've ever eaten. Zero flavor, so much oil it fell apart in the bag.

I'm really disappointed that they've moved away from the center of Ogunquit. I visited their new location and found the menu to be much smaller. Nearly all of my favorite dishes are no longer available. I really hope they come back to the original spot or at least reintroduce the items that are missing.

I'm sad that they no longer have their original store, but this new location is much more convenient. I hope it improves over time. The bakery remains outstanding.

GREAT bakery but NOTE this location is closed. The new location is located just 3 miles up Rte 1 in Wells. Look for it on Google maps. Amazing pies and cakes!
