Bulegreen Cafe Yard - Oakland Park

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant. I visited for brunch with a friend, and everything we ordered was fantastic! The juices were the standout of the meal; I had guava juice, while my friend chose mango. The cheese bread paired with jam was also spot on! I will definitely be coming back, as everything here was wonderful!

I ordered the Bluegrass Waffle and an iced rose latte. The rose latte was delightful; I would definitely return just for that. It had a lovely floral taste complemented by a robust coffee flavor. I opted for it iced, as a previous reviewer mentioned it was quite hot even with the fans running. For that reason, I rated the atmosphere a 3. While the decor was nice, the heat was uncomfortable for a morning visit at 9:30 AM. The service was mediocre, and unfortunately, the food did not live up to expectations. The scrambled eggs were runny, the waffle lacked flavor, and the substitute for pork was just rolled turkey slices. The seasonal fruit consisted of just one slice of strawberry and half a banana. Overall, the food felt overpriced and was a big disappointment. I had high hopes for a delicious waffle, but the images had been misleading. As for dietary restrictions, the only option for substituting pork was the rolled turkey slices.

Upon entering this café, you find yourself in a charming and whimsical garden—it's truly stunning! Check out my video for a glimpse. The food is fantastic, and the drinks were equally impressive, especially the smoothie. We enjoyed brunch here on a scorching summer day when the heat index soared above 100. Being outdoors was almost unbearable. Since it's an outdoor venue, they have fans running constantly, but it felt like they were just blowing around warm air. Additionally, when our food arrived, the flies were relentless. The fly fan was on, but it didn’t make much of a difference. Adding citronella candles or incense would really improve the experience. Despite these challenges, I would absolutely return in the spring or fall.

Fresh take on comfort dining that is everything but boring; Bulegreen Cafe Yard is a one of a kind experience. I mean you can tell the ingredients they use out locally sourced and everything is made with TLC. The decor is adorable. Although the seating is mostly outdoors, it's completely covered with fans and cute, little mosquito repellers. Service is top notch every time. Do yourself a favor and experience this cute cafe when in the Oakland Park area. PS don't forget to order the cheese balls!

It looks really nice but the food and coffee was sub par. I'd prefer cyth and co across the street for coffee. I think the food was okay but for this high prices it didn't seem worth it. They have a cool coffee set up but they put more effort into making it look good than the coffee being good. My thoughts.Food: 2/5
