Herring Choker Deli - Nyanza

Ordered the curried tuna salad package to go and it was delicious! also a few baked and pastry cakes and they were just as delicious! because it was the lunchtime, we had to wait a few minutes to get our food. but it was worth it! we'd like to have a table there to eat, but unfortunately we didn't have time.

That's a great little rest. they serve a good selection of sandwiches and wraps with fair trade coffee. also the cakes made locally are fantastic.

We were recommended this place by the owners of Beanies Bistro. Fantastic little place. Friendly, great food signature lobster sandwich . Cosy, popular. Selection of craft things. Def recommend.

While I was waiting for my sandwhich, a young couple entered the deli and looked around. It looked like they were ready to settle in and order when the woman told her partner that the place "wasn't fancy enough for her." Well, I don't know what her definition of fancy is, I can say, based on my experience at this deli that day, that everything about my visit was excellent. It may not be fancy to some but it is certainly cosy, cute, comfortable and decorated in a way that I think is perfectly fitting for a relaxing cafe atmosphere. The service at the counter was excellent, our food came quickly, it was delicious and we were even told by staff to take our time ever though they were closing shortly. I also have to mention that the prices seemed pretty reasonable for what we received and they had a great selection of music fitting the relaxing atmosphere of the place. I will definitely go back again!

The Herring Choker has great food, friendly service. I had the Caesar Salad wrap that was delicious.
