Contribuiți la feedbackThe evening I spent on new-years eve at 'Ristorante Chillico ' in Noto Via Salvatore la Rosa 18, Noto is among the best experiences I had in Sicily. The hospitality, quality of the food and setting in the middle of the amazing town of Noto made for an unforgettable evening. The young owner, Francesco, is very friendly. Despite the fact the restaurant was already fully booked on the eve of the 31st December 'Capodanno ' by local families, Francesco pulled out an extra table and let us enjoy the rest of the evening of a typical 'capodanno alla siciliana '. The food was extra-ordinary: all fresh ingredients and with a local touch. Prices are absolutely reasonable, I would say even cheap if compared to the quality offered. I fully recommend this place to anyone passing by Noto: Francesco and his team will not disappoint you.
We were 2, Italian couple going to Noto more or less every year. We ordered a big starter with different fishes, something really good (fried fishes, not heavy and not oiled), a really amazing caponata (vegetable mix that is typical from Sicily) but something else was like the kind of stuff you can buy yourself at the supermarket. We went on with 2 fish dishes, the swordfish with sesame was greaty and big, while the other one I got (scorpionfish) was a bit disappointing. Good service, really great atmospehere in the centre of the city: if you go there, probably the internal garden is not that great, sitting outside shold be better.
We saw the recent reviews and went there a mistake. The so called internal garden is the back yard into which opens their kitchen and the kitchen of the pizzeria next door. So you eat surrounded by extractor fans and chefs popping out for a cigarette or to use their mobile phones. The waiter was willing but hopeless, no idea what he was doing. We asked for a glas of prosecco to start. He came with two glasses and poured so clumsily that we ended up with 2 cm of wine in one glass and 4 cm in the other. He just walked off and left the foam to settle. Very odd start to a meal. The food? Antipasti good, raviloli di ricotta good, seafood rissotto so full of salt as to be awful. Hardly any other customers, terrible music too, and in the courtyard you hear only the bass track so it is a thumping background just cutting through the kitchen noise. The bill just comes as a note with one figure on it, no itemised billing here. We would not mind that, but were just curious to see how much they would charge for one fifth of a glass of prosecco. The meal wasn't expensive but it wasn't any good either. These are amateurs playing at running a restaurant. Don't pay for them to experiment on you.
Beautiful setting but a bit pricey for what you get. It is gorgeous inside but atmosphere is more formal than I like. Great tuna with pistachio dish on menu
We had in this restaurant one of the finest pasta dishes we can remember! (I'm sicilian, so I know what pasta is... Personnel is very kind and friendly, food is excellent... 5 stars!
