Contribuiți la feedbackWe've gone to Dodd Stadium several times now for drive thru covid testing. Keep in mind that the line can get pretty long, so we always plan to get there 1-2hrs before they open. There are 2 different lines, 1 for essential workers, priority and then a standard community line. The staff comes to your window before you go in and radio in the information of those testing with your ID. If you have an appt. they have your information in the system and print out the info on your vile. When it is your turn, you drive into the tent and the staff comes to your window to do the test once you confirm the information on the vile is correct (name, and D.O.B. . They are friendly and the process is quick, so it's not a horrible experience. If needed, they have paperwork to hand you to review the process and information. You don't have to touch anything, just roll your window down and they do the swabbing in your nose and put the swab in a vile and into a separate individual plastic bag for processing. Once you're done, they open the door and you can drive out of the tent. Your results come later via the contact information you provided.
Minor League Baseball Stadiums can be weird places to go when you aren't going for a baseball game, but I was glad to add this place to a long list of stadiums I've had the privilege of checking out. I visited Dodd Stadium on Sunday for Northeast Wrestling's Wrestling Under the Stars event (this is not a review of the event, that would be unfair to the venue). The stadium itself looks pretty fantastic on the inside and seems to be at least semi recently revenvated. Inside of the venue they have a decent amount of food and beverage options including a BBQ area (not open when I was there) and a Ben and Jerry's which I've never seen inside of a minor league park so kudos to that! The seating area was pretty clean and although the seating seemed a tad outdated the seating area and park were fairly nice. The one funny thing to point out is that the team is now called the Connecticut Tigers and the statue out front is a Gator? (I know it's because of the Norwich Navigators but it's still kind of funny). Overall, Dodd Stadium seems like a solid place to come to a ball game. Nothing about this pit screams amazing but the food is alright, the seating is alright, and it's worth a visit for baseball fans.
Doughluv is fire! It's a shame they're temporarily closed with no real explanation. I hope they are up and running very soon as they have delicious cookie dough treats!
Went there twice this week.. both during the open time frames and both times it was closed and locked.. called another day and no one answered.. maybe they are shut down permanently??
The dough is yummy and did the trick. The person working was useless and there is no place to seat and it's literally the tiniest place ever. Not a lot of choices either. Also I'll say the huge deep container and flimsy spoon for the dough makes eating very challenging.
