This food is made with love. I enjoy my meal there consistently. the hot food line is particularly tasteful, but not too salty. if available, homemade desserts are excellent.
Timing is key at G'mos, if you go at the wrong time you literally won't find any food (after you already used your meal card) and will have to wait. Apart from that there are also limited options even if you do find food. Lastly the Gluten Free area is never in use. But I guess when it's good, it's okay but that only happens like twice a week. Breakfast is definitely better than dinner that's for sure.
The restaurant has declined in quality. It has fewer options than it did a few years ago, and the Asian Tiger restaurant has permanently run out of food. The ambiance is lacking, with terrible lighting and overcooked vegetables. The food is greasy and the salad bar always has wilted lettuce. The buffet is no longer self-serve, leading to long wait times for service. The cleanliness of the tables is questionable, with few employees washing dishes. There was also a sighting of a mouse in the restaurant. Overall, the experience was not sanitary or appetizing.
This restaurant is situated at the northern end of Cal State University, Northridge. They offer buffet-style dining with a variety of options. The food was tasty and the price was $11.83 for lunch on July 23, 2019. They have labels indicating dairy-free, gluten-free, and other dietary options. Dessert choices were limited to three types of cookies or two types of frozen yogurt on July 23, 2019.
