Tempo Pizza Bar Gelato - Northcote

I ordered 'vegan pizza 6 ' on ubereats from Tempo as I wanted to try out a new pizza place and they have a fair few vegan options on the menu! The pizza had vegan cheese, tomatoes, caramelised onions and balsamic vinegar and it was tasty and I LOVE LOVE LOVED the dough/base, that was incredible but I wasn 't sure about the cheese they used? It was classic 'sticks to the back of your teeth ' vegan cheese so maybe they could look into changing the cheese they use but honestly, I 'm not mad about it. It 's great to have another independent pizza place doing vegan options. Updated from previous review on 2020-07-02

Ordered pizza -Vegan Option 1. Was delicious, a little burnt in bits but full of flavour and plenty of toppings. But if you are looking for the absolute ripper of a dish, get the vegan gnocchi parmigiana. Woahhh this was on another level. So full of flavour with a hint of chilli. Best bowl of gnocchi I’ve had!

It is almost embarrassing how many times I have had Tempo’s margherita four jam doughnuts) delivered to my door. If it weren’t for the fact they make the best damn pizza I’ve had in Australia I’d feel guilt, but really I wear my gluttony with pride.<br/ <br/ I am the biggest pizza snob. The BIGGEST. So much so that I’ve taken to making my own at home because literally nowhere gets it right. And then I met Tempo. <br/ <br/ Their base is PERFECTO I’ve literally ordered pizzas before so I could take notes on the base for replication. I have not achieved tempo perfection yet). Amazing crumb, delish gluten development, and cooked just right. I’m a #basicbitch and go for the marg every time and my only complaint is that the basil is cooked with the pizza instead of thrown on fresh at the end). SO GOOD!

Truly the best pizza I have ever tasted! The food is delicious and the staff is even better. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning for more.

Fantastic place for a meal. Service was outstanding... personal, friendly and extremely accomodating to dietary needs. Food was great, ambience could've been a little nicer but overall an excellent experience – will be back for sure.
