Kegon Sushi Teppanyaki - Northbrook

This used to be my favorite restaurant, but now it's absolutely terrible. The staff is rude, and the place is in disrepair. My plate was dirty, and the employees struggled with English. They refused to accept my Groupon during lunch, even though there was no mention of any restrictions. I will NEVER return. They didn’t even offer any entertaining tricks. For that price, I'd much rather go to other Japanese steakhouses nearby.

The restaurant features cozy sushi bar tables located at the back and hibachi tables in the front, making it perfect for families as well as romantic dates. The service is outstanding!

I always had a good experience. the eating is soou yum, the golden sauce makes everything better and it makes fun without spending the price of ron of japan. Yes, it's not cheap, but a little easier to go than overboard. I also love that there is a sushi option if they have enough space to eat a roll before dinner. the portions are huge. like most of these places, eating is cooked right in front of them for their entertainment, so they like eating afterwards so leave their beautiful jacket in the car. it is a fun date night place, fun with family and / or friends to go. so tasty, I have starving, just thinking about it!

My all-time favorite restaurant! It’s still incredible after all these years! I was there yesterday, and the lunch menu offers fantastic prices. I highly recommend the teriyaki steak with rice and a side of the golden sauce – it’s the best part!

New administration, new menu .old chefs. great place to eat for us. very friendly staff.
