Sweet Olives

The hotel is clean warm and comfortable, perhaps a lick of paint is needed here and there. The one thing that makes this hotel stand out from the crowd, is it staff from the ladies in house keeping to the girls that run the bar and reception all are so friendly and nothing is to much trouble. I will be back see you the El.

Me and my colleague stopped here for a bite to eat after a long drive as we are working in the area. The starter was good, but the Rump of lamb was awful. Dry, bland, frozen veg and tasteless crushed potatoes. The waiter was extremely awkward and could not answer any questions I had about the menu, didn't know what ciders were on draught, didn't know what the cheesecake of the day is when the menu states to ask our server for the cheesecake of the day. Extremely overpriced for what you get with the Rump of lamb, luckily we were there with a taste card for 50% off. Avoid like the plague

Sweet olives is a consistently delightful restaurant and the hotel bar is the same. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the food is fresh and of great quality. Me and mum were served tonight by a lovely waiter (I think his name was Gavin) and he couldn't do enough to help us. We will be back soon, thanks again!

I had a lovely meal while at the hotel. It was above average for a hotel meal. Steak was tasty and cooked well, I requested some changes to the meal which was no trouble. Menu is extensive and there are good vegetarian choices. This was a nice change from the usual rubbish you get at hotels.

Very enjoyable evening lovely food beautifully cooked and superb service. Highly recommended to anyone who likes Mediterranean food.
