Dino's House of Pancakes

Rolled into Dino's after finding several other breakfast joints way to busy for the food window we had available. I got the crab cake eggs Benedict and my daughter the stuffed blueberry french toast. My meal was OK but only just. The crab cake featured an abundance of oil soaked breading and not a whole lot of actual crab. The eggs were cooked well and the potatoes were decent but the ketchup at the table had either turned or was the cheapest condiment that money could buy and pretty much ruined the potatoes on contact. The french toast was pretty bad however. It seriously looked like Texas style toast and nothing more. There was no egg batter on the bread to speak of. The fresh blueberries were obviously frozen and had a unusually tough outer texture that made them a berry to be avoided. The server was the highlight of the meal however. She was an old school southern lady that was nothing but pleasant and accommodating. I get the impression that perhaps we could have rolled in there on a different day or ordered something else and been satisfied, but it wasn't to be had on our visit and I won't be giving them a second chance.

I live in North Carolina and it my second year in Myrtle Beach (my sister moved here with her husband 3 years ago).

Excellent accommodations for two or larger groupsFriendly service, wide variety, and delicious foods.

Good pancakes. Great service, very fast. Had the banana walnut pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes, and strawberry pancakes. Also a side of turkey sausage patties. Too much to eat, probably should have invited my wife and son to come with me.
