Fish King - North Kesteven

This restaurant has everything you would want from a fish and chip shop. I'm grateful that I don't live closer because it's too tempting!

We used to have consistently good experiences at this restaurant for years, but during a recent visit, we noticed that the menu had changed. Instead of listing specific types of fish like haddock or cod, it simply said "fish." When I asked our server what kind of fish it was, they hesitated and mentioned that it was squid. I tried it discreetly and thought it tasted more like haddock or cod, possibly something lower quality. Overall, it was not up to par with what we were used to.

The Fish King recently opened in Lincoln, located by the river across from Marks and Spencer. I visited today and can highly recommend it. The restaurant was clean, the service was pleasant, and the food was very tasty. I ordered the regular fish and chips, along with mushy peas, bread and butter, and a cup of tea for £8.95. When you're in Lincoln, this is definitely a great spot to check out.

I write only cripples if they are exceptionally good or exceptionally bad, there are no incidents. fish king was always very good, never had any complaining at all. her new kartoffel chips were absolutely beautiful! and with her squid it was a nicely cooked meal. can't blame it. I will not waste my time going elsewhere. I tried a few others in lincoln and was very disappointed.

Have always bought my fish and chips from here since they opened. Beautiful fish and chips, very good price and its always service with a smile . Very well organised and so easy to order on line. Keep up the good work, keep safe and...thank you.
