Cafe du Lac - North Hatley

Though we were initially skeptical about trying pizza at Cafe du Lac in North Hatley, we were pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. My partner and I had lunch there during our visit, and we both enjoyed the food.

During our vacation in North Hatley, we discovered the charming Cafe Du Lac in the village.

Unable to renegotiate the lease, Chantal, the charming proprietor, closed Cafe du Lac in October, 2016. Too bad. It was a wonderful dining option in a picturesque waterside location in North Hatley. Quel dommage.

The best restaurant in town, as long as the weather is good enough to sit outside. Overlooking water. Friendly service offering solid homemade-style food. Probably best to go there for lunch.

The coffee was disappointing, as they only offered filter coffee with no espresso machine. There were no freshly squeezed juices available, and the prices were quite high for the quality of the breakfast. I would not recommend this restaurant.
