Deli Il Cardo - North Ayrshire

This deli and cafe is excellent. The soups are delicious, as is all of the food. They also have lovely homemade puddings that you can take home. I enjoyed a meal here on one of the nights when they are open later.

Every time we are in Largs this is a must for lunch. The food is varied and has something for everyone and is well priced. Certainly beats fast food hands down.

We went for lunch yesterday and received a very warm welcome and shown to a table straight away. The server was very friendly and it didn’t take long for our drinks to come and the food to be served. I chose Tuscan sausage lasagne with salad and crusty bread, my OH had the Caesar Salad. The portions were very generous and freshly made and we both really enjoyed our meal. I am a keen cook and do pride myself in making a cracking lasagne but, I admit defeat and had to tell the owner that his lasagne was the best I have ever eaten. I should have asked for the recipe! It’s such a shame that we live about 6 hours away from Largs, I would definitely be a regular customer.
