Contribuiți la feedbackCalled in on a Saturday for a quick bite before heading on to Gourock. My wife had pie, chips and beans. The pie was very ordinary and the chips had burnt ends. My Sweet Chilli wrap was nothing special the chicken felt like it was pre digested and the sweet Chilli sauce insipid.
One of the few cafes I had never tried and wanted a change. Let's start with positives......Sparkling clean and owner was even using flash outside so I can see she takes pride in place. I had coffee....Americano and hot soya milk and toast. Coffee was ok but much better places in town. Toast was basic packet wholemeal and £1.40 a slice and advertised £2.80 for 2! This is ridiculous for basic bread and if priced fairly then may be busier. I appreciate times are hard but this can not be justified
Very pet friendly, tables well spaced out, fast friendly service, good value for money, 3 adults fed for less than £30. Husband said his steak pie was the best he's ever had, praise indeed.
Lovely wee coffee shop, nice and clean. £3.30 for kids beans and toast may be a wee bit expensive but kids enjoyed it and that's the main thing.
I visited the restaurant today and was disappointed with the service. The staff were not friendly, I had to ask for a menu and when I ordered soup, it was tasteless. I informed the manager that I had requested bread, but was told there was none left. There was also no salt or pepper provided, which is essential for enhancing the soup's flavor. I couldn't finish my meal and was put off by the manager's lack of attention to customers. The restaurant has gone downhill from the time I used to enjoy visiting. It appears tired and in need of improvement, starting with the manager's attitude. I will not be returning.
