Sushi King Little Creek - Norfolk

Do not waist your time. Went in tonight to catch up with a friend. We were not even properly greeted. When we sat down our waitress didn’t tell us any thing about the menu just said SCAN THIS and got our drinks. Then she comes back and says what do you want to order. We did not know it was all you can eat because no one said anything to us. I order 2 things. A soup and a Cali roll. Then charged me for a full dinner. Then they advertise that they do military discount. I showed her my ID and she still charged me full price. So apparently to this place a California roll and soup is worth 23$. On top of the high prices the sushi was warm. For it being so cold in there where I couldn’t take my jacket off the least that could have happen was cold sushi. Very disappointed and will be calling to talk to someone who cares about their customers

The staff is doing their job but this new management has made it obvious that short cuts in food quality are being made. Miso soup tastes like water, habachi has no seasoning at all, fried rice tastes like it was steamed with sesame oil then served rather than actually frying it with seasoning and an egg, the sushi tasted bland, and the french fries tasted old to the point they were fried one day and popped in the microwave or freezer burnt and tossed in the fryer anyways.This used to be my favorite place but this new management is more concerned about trimming costs than food quality. I have no issue with the staff and what we noticed with our food can only be the result of poor management and/or penny pinching management.

Sevice slow....portions soooo small..price is unreasonable. not a very inviting atmosphere.

I went in on Wednesday for lunch with a couple of friends. There were people waiting to be seated, while the host was talking an order over the phone. When she was done she sat everyone down and she was very pleasant. The waitress came quickly to get our drink order and then came back to get our food order. We each got a pot of green tea, which we loved. The waitress did forget to give us our miso soup till we were almost done with our food but it was ok, seeing this place being very busy for lunch. The food was decent and nothing bad to say about the food. We all got sushi and rolls and we all enjoyed our food. Ginger and Wasabi were both fresh and the soy sauce was not watered down.

Not a promotion of this situation! the sushi was warm and tasted funny. the crabs-woagoon was also warm and not hot, so it seemed like he was sitting outside. Not even an hour after eating here, I have a bad stomach pain and I became sick. pay attention to the low-star ratings, especially those who talk about the type of food and cross-contamination. volcano is all they can eat sushi place, they are much better than this place.
