Chartreuse Bistro - Norfolk

I visited this restaurant for a friend's birthday and unfortunately had a negative experience. We were poorly treated, and when our food arrived, it was undercooked and had hair in it. The atmosphere was uncomfortable as the staff seemed to be staring, pointing, and talking about me in the back.

This restaurant was fantastic! My boyfriend and I chose it for a more upscale date, and we were pleasantly surprised to find we had the entire place to ourselves that evening. Although the prices are on the higher side, every penny is worth it! The staff is wonderful, and the drinks are expertly crafted. The food is simply exquisite. The presentation is stunning, and every item on the plate complements the others beautifully. Everything tasted fresh and truly offered a unique experience. My favorite dish was definitely the homemade gnocchi; it had a delightful texture. By the end of the meal, I found myself surprisingly full, but in a good way. I can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu with friends!

This could be the best restaurant in Norfolk. The food, service, atmosphere, and wine were all exceptional.

I love this place so much! Probably my favorite restaurant in Norfolk. Incredible food that’s always fresh and surprising. Great drinks (get the DC Gin and Tonic if you’re a G&T fan) and very personal service. We love coming here. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
