Pop's Sunset Grill - NOKOMIS

The food is outstanding, the drinks are amazing, they feature live music, and the views are breathtaking.

I always enjoy having lunch at Pop’s! I've been coming here for over 14 years, and it’s amazing to see how they have evolved and redefined their image! The menu is extensive, with something to please everyone. They offer a kids’ menu, seafood options, choices for fried, grilled, or blackened dishes, and plenty of non-seafood selections—great variety! On this visit, I had the mahi mahi Marker 10 fish tacos accompanied by edamame salad and lobster bisque soup. One friend ordered the fish and chips with fries, while another opted for the group Reuben with edamame salad. All of our meals were prepared excellently, served promptly, and tasted fantastic. The prices are reasonable, not too high. Plus, the view and atmosphere are incredible! Situated right on the docks of the intracoastal waterway by the bridge, you can watch plenty of boat traffic. Today, we even spotted a manatee with her calf swimming along the waterway, which was a first for me at Pop’s! How cool is that? Usually, it’s just dolphins or people-watching. I highly recommend this place!!!

This is a popular spot along the Intercoastal Waterway. Drinks are served in plastic cups inside the restaurant. The protein dishes were overcooked, but the service was incredibly friendly and efficient. The half-shell oysters were a bit dry, likely because it's not the right season for local oysters.

Great atmosphere. My first time at Pop's, and I was in the mood for a bean burger- it was really delicious! Can't wait to go back and try more entrees
