When you walk along the promenade of the anglais, you will enjoy the beautiful surroundings – the electric blue sea, the magnificent sunshine, magnificent people everywhere and a long stretch of bars, caffes and shops. we wanted a morning drink and chose movida. it's just wonderful. the employees were incredibly welcoming, they calmed my trying to speak French and chat us in English. the coffee was delicious, my friend had a cappuccino, and I had an orangina (many paints! and the service was fast. the atmosphere is plentiful and they play chilled beach music. we liked it so much that we decided to go back in the evening to sit on the balcony overlooking the promenade. we looked at the sunset, ate her delicious food and had cocktails. Although nizza has so much to offer, we went back to movida. I think that says everything!
Perfect snacks, excellent service. camambert with truffle is a must try together with chicken teeth. especially her ananas mojito was stunning. doruk was incredibly helpful!
Great customer service! We walked in and the host quickly made room for our 4-person group. He even went so far as to persuade two people who were at a large table move to a smaller table for the four of us. However, my Glenfiddich 12 year was kinda pricey and unfortunately tasted watered down. That aside, still worth a visit!
Modiva is a trendy drinks and tapas bar located right on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice France. It has an amazing location, except the ground level outside is a bit sunken rather then street level, so you can't see the ocean as well as the street level establishments. The second floor is great for drinks, but, food service runs a bit slowly, because you are on the second floor. The staff is amazing, everyone is friendly, they speak French or course, but also English and a few other languages. Please always remember to say Bonjoir and merci, as without this anywhere in France you will come across as rude. That being said, the staff is amazing the vibe is quite good as well. When it comes to the food and drinks, that's a hit or miss in my opinion. Their guac was great, the fried prawns with Thai chilli sauce was also amazing, but the spinich pasta and the mozzarella sticks, well, not so good, actually quite bad. The wine list is meh at best and their cocktails range from excellent to, this mixed drink is no tres bien. Overall it's more like a 2.5 star place rather than 3. You would do much better going to Babel Babel another block down for the same vibe a better view, better wine and much better food. I would have to say Movida is a skip for me.
