Sol Cocina - Newport Beach

You can't beat the location! We were here for Sunday brunch. Great menu, wanted to try a bunch of things but ended up with the shrimp chili relleno, crab cake and shrimp Benedict and the chilaquiles with carnitas. Everything was wonderful.

The food at this restaurant was absolutely delicious. We ordered guacamole, Carne Asada tacos (Viper tacos), and shrimp tacos. I always base my opinion of a Mexican restaurant on their salsa, and theirs was one of the best I've ever had. The Cadillac Margaritas were also fantastic! The host, Kendall, went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful evening, all with a brilliant smile. I recommend asking for Christian to be your waiter. He was amazing, knowledgeable about the menu and what was tasty, always made sure we had enough water, and took care of all our needs with a friendly and uplifting attitude. We will definitely be returning!

Situated next to the water, this restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere! We ordered the octopus dish and it was incredibly tasty. The tacos were also quite delicious. The only downside was the long wait - it took over an hour to be served, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. Despite that, I will definitely give it another try next time I'm in the area.

This well-known restaurant serves delicious Mexican cuisine. The Catch of the Day was expertly prepared and full of flavor. The tacos are made with fresh ingredients and seasoned perfectly. I particularly enjoyed the Ribeye sandwich, served on a crispy toasted bun with tender grilled steak and flavorful sauces that complemented each bite. The salsa, guacamole, and Mexican corn were all deliciously prepared and presented. Sol has a lively atmosphere with friendly staff, and the added bonus of a waterfront view!

The perfect brunch! JC was funny, kind, and helpful waiter. Highly recommend the mimosas with fresh fruit juices, the heuvos rancheros (which might be the best I've had), and the burrito. Will definitely be there again.
