Docklands Grill - Newham

We have enjoyed breakfast at this restaurant many times and it has always been excellent. This time, we decided to have dinner here. After a long day of being busy and traveling, we were tired. The service was outstanding, with attentive and friendly staff who exceeded my expectations in resolving a problem. My wife ordered fish and chips, which she found delicious. Our daughter, who is a picky eater, requested some changes to her meal, which were accommodated. The staff also showed concern about potential allergies, but we assured them it was just her pickiness. Unfortunately, my pizza was severely overcooked with sparse toppings and burnt cheese. When I brought this to their attention, it was quickly replaced without any fuss. Even though I was offered a different dish, I really just wanted pizza. When it came time to pay the bill, the pizza was not on there, but neither were my beverages.

The service was painfully slow for a restaurant that was not busy, they even brought us some crisps to keep us going! The steak was OK but £3.99 for a glass of tap water, really!

I recommend this hotel, located near the Excel exhibition centre in east London. The bar service was excellent, me and my friends had a few rounds of cocktails made by the Italian bartender, Cristiano, he served us with kindness and professionalism. Prices are reasonable compared to the ones of central London, the place is pretty and not so crowded. Definitely we’ll come back for a drink!

Quite, nice place. Food was very good. I had the fish and chips, prawn appetizer and tiramisu desert. The price was reasonable and, food was very good. The staff was very friendly. The downside was the service was very poor. Drink orders forgotten, took forever to get anyone to tend to me and I waited 30 minutes to flag down a waitress just to check out. There was only two other people in place so it wasn't busy. By the sounds coming from the kitchen, the staff seemed more interested in fun jibber jabber than tending to customers.

This is basically my local as there are no real pubs in Victoria Docks. The staff is absolutely lovely and really helpful, no matter if it is Food or Drink. The atmosphere is warm but modern. The menu offers snacks and meals for most tastes. Big thumbs up for the staff.
