The food was good, but the hostess on the evening of October 21, 2023- big yikes. By far the rudest person we've met during our time in Vermont. I hope she was just having a bad day and not always that miserable and rude. We were unaware that this was the only restaurant in a 30 mile radius, therefore we were not prepared with a reservation. We asked for any suggestions of other restaurants relatively nearby and she vaguely suggested nearby towns. We did order take out at the counter and brought the food to our airbnb. It was good. The lobster roll had large pieces of buttery claw meat, however was a bit small. I made the good decision to upgrade to the eggplant fries, which are large Julian slices in a magnificent batter topped with parmesan cheese and served with some sort of spicy ranch sauce. The clam chowder was good, nice flavor and a thick cream broth. The place is small, so calling at 3pm to make reservations is a good idea. There are regular tables for parties of 2 and 4, community tables, and bar seating. Good food, great service, and friendly people make this a wonderful place for dinner.
