Barn India - NEWCASTLE-UNDER-LYME

A really nice meal,very busy so bit of a wait,but being a party of is it was no problem...seemed to over price on drinks,that was the only fault..

Barn India is just a few miles up the road from whre we live, but although we had heard of it we had never been what had we missed! A very friendly welcome to this lovely spacious barn conversion, a vaguely familiar menu (as the same family run the excellent London House Restaurant in Eccleshall) with a huge choice of starters and main courses. The food was of superb quality and plentiful, with attentive but unobtrusive service. Can't believe that we'd never had the pleasure of visiting here before, but we'll certainly be back for more soon!

After reading reviews on TripAdvisor, I was excited for my meal at this restaurant. The car park looked promising upon arrival, and we were greeted with enthusiasm and seated promptly. The menu had reasonable prices and our drinks were ordered quickly. The poppadoms and dips were delicious. The starters were also enjoyable, but the main course was a letdown. The rice and naans were good, but the curry lacked flavor and spice. When brought up to the waiter, they simply suggested not ordering it again. Dessert or coffee options were not offered, and as a result, I won't be in a hurry to return.

The food at this restaurant is consistently good or even very good. However, don't expect a luxurious dining atmosphere as the building and dining room are starting to feel damp and have a slight odor. The restrooms are not up to standard and small details in the interior decor are lacking. These improvements would greatly enhance the overall experience. This is not a place where you would want to spend a lot of time enjoying your meal.
