Black Bear Diner - Newberg

I went back inside to speak with the manager, who came out to assess the situation. I informed her how upset I was and that I felt compelled to call the police to report the vehicle, as it didn’t display a handicap placard and was clearly violating no-parking guidelines. It’s disheartening when others act thoughtlessly, making it difficult to maintain a positive attitude. On a brighter note, I truly enjoyed my time at Black Bear Diner, and the value for the price was impressive. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, with double doors at the entrance and plenty of seating for those with mobility issues. However, it’s worth mentioning that there are only three handicap parking spots available at the front of the building.

The service was excellent, and the food was quite tasty. They also really cater to children, providing thoughtful care and coloring activities to keep them entertained.

During my vacation, I came across this diner and decided to give it a try. I ordered the chicken fried steak omelette with potatoes and a bacon cheeseburger with fries. While the bacon cheeseburger was fairly average, the chicken fried steak omelette was impressively large and absolutely delicious. The potatoes were tasty too, and it was served with a buttery biscuit. The service was adequate; however, the server didn’t check on us very often, which could be seen as either a positive or a negative depending on your perspective. We didn’t receive any refills for our drinks, and it took some time to get the bill. Overall, I would definitely return and recommend this diner to others visiting the area.

HUGE PORTIONS of delicious food at a reasonable price. GOOD service and friendly atmosphere. Love the decor! Vegetarian options: The veggie omelet was awesome! I got mine without cheese.

The waitress was very kind and professional. Really good service.
