Lit 21 - Newark

Solid 4 rated location. Here’s why:Food: It was ok, but I admit. It could have been the dishes I chose. My lover and I ordered some plantain cups, wings, and nachos. The nachos were good once the server got our order right (I always ask to hold the sour cream, and our nachos came loaded). The wings were okay. When I eat, I aim for delicious not OK. As for the plantain cups, they needed work; they were soggy, and the flavor was a bit tangy. I wasn’t a fan of those and was a bit disappointed.Ambiance: It's a beautiful vibe with an indoor/outdoor option right off the Passaic River, plus the DJ was LIT. ? In addition, I appreciate the level of security offered. I felt safe!Service: Customer service goes a long way, and I admit, although the server/kitchen got my order wrong, they were happy to accommodate! Thank you, LIT21!?Drinks: Well balanced, but then again, my drink was simple. It's hard to mess up a jack ginger ale.Overall, I recommend visiting, and I'm open to returning to try other dishes. Maybe my 4 star rating will turn into a 4.5. Stay tuned! ?

They made us pay $10 to park so that it could be free later in the evening. There was also not enough parking if you came late. DJ was nice and the decor was great! However, the wings and other fried food looked appetizing but tasted like they were cooked in old grease. The ladies room was small and felt like an oven with a big fan blowing the hot air around. I felt bad for the bathroom attendant that had to sit in there!

Nigel was a great host. It was our time ever at lit21 and he gave a great recommendation on food and drinks. He also had the staff set us up with a great view overlooking the river. The bartending staff were all sweet and super helpful. Overall just a good

Loved this place! The energy was amazing. Jennifer, the bartender, was the cutest. She was so attentive made sure we were good the whole time

This was my first time here and of course I have to give a review. This place wasn’t hard to find it stands out especially at night you really can’t miss the sign. I came here on a Tuesday night with a friend. The ambience was cute from the inside and outside. I sat outside due to the weather being nice and also had an amazing view. The service was pretty good. As for food I ended up getting wings and fries and for the drink my friend and I got the fishbowl with Bacardi. I forgot the name of it so excuse me on that part. They do serve hookah separately from the food and drinks it was kind of challenging getting the person who does hookah to be able to get us one, but we ended up getting help from the server. Overall I would come back to this place it’s definitely good vibes.They have a parking lot so no need to stress about parking which is another great thing about this place and it’s free.Parking: What I like about this is the parking wasn’t an issue
