I've been to China many times and the food there is fantastic. I didn't expect much from this establishment but I do wish that I could find something more authentic. I often wonder whether it is the clientele that drive the need for the tasteless, monotonic dishes or are the proprietors too afraid to stray from the well beaten path of the familiar menu and create something great.
