The Dapper Spaniel - Newark

Visited on Saturday evening at 18 o'clock, so was very quiet. beautiful pub with very friendly service. really enjoyed eating and was nice to find somewhere with a good selection of food for adults and my 3 years old would recommend.

This place is dog friendly in certain sharing, but best to check before. friendly service and good food with varied menus from steaks to sausages and maize to cooking specialities.

They died on me 24 hours before going as they did bbq and neither l or my guests wanted bbq for Sunday dinner, they offered bark or lamb one of my party was vegetarian

Eat was good, but the service stays very slow 10/15 minutes before ordering and then wait over 45 minutes from ordering to main course and a 30 minutes wait for a bakewell tart dessert. before the house staff were pleasant and apologetic (if eating finally arrived) problem seems to be in the kitchen. we ate here 7 or 8 times and have the same problem each time. eating was always really good, but please improve the speed of the service.

Great food served by friendly staff. Did not feel rushed at all. Lovely atmosphere not noisy so could hold a conversation.
