Whitmans Hudson Yards - New York City

Whitmans is definitely one of my favorite places to eat whenever I'm in town. I tried the East Villi Cheesesteak for the first time, and it was AMAZING! I can't praise this place enough!

Chicken on greens sounds great but in reality what you get is alot of overcooked chicken breasts bummer) and the tiniest sprinling of parm that has melted on the bowls side. Wouldnt take much for this to be amazing

Everything was excessively salty, including the cheesesteak. The fries were soggy, salty, and dripping with oil. I couldn't even enjoy them after reheating them to make them crispy. The potato chips were no better than a bag of Lays or Miss Vickie's. I won't be ordering again.

The food we received was cold, undercooked, and soggy. The cheese on the grilled cheese sandwich wasn’t melted, the bread was hardly toasted, the chips were stale, the fries were cold and soggy, and the tater tots were significantly undercooked. Additionally, the burger was missing the green chili. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this place for takeout.

I ordered the Whitman’s Classic Burger, which features a beef short rib blend patty, seared onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and special sauce on a potato bun. It was a really good burger, and you could definitely taste the quality of the meat. The pickles were a standout for me—packed with amazing flavor and a great crunch. The special sauce added a nice kick to the overall taste. The ingredient ratios were spot on, and the bun remained intact without becoming soggy. However, the fries were a bit underwhelming. They could have used more seasoning and had a thick outer crust with less potato inside than I would have liked (as shown in the picture). Overall, though, I would highly recommend checking this place out!
