Union Square Cafe - New York City

I was unsure of what to expect at this restaurant. At first glance, the menu seemed good but fairly standard. However, after taking my first bite of the gazpacho, I realized I was completely mistaken and was in for a delicious culinary adventure. Each dish that came out was infused with layers of flavor, making each bite unique.

It's not hard to find delicious food in NYC, but the exceptional service provided by Ali at Union Square Cafe made our experience truly unforgettable. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Union Square Cafe and were impressed by the delicious food and impeccable service. Ali was attentive, warm, and knowledgeable, providing us with great recommendations and making us feel welcomed. He even went above and beyond to ensure my pregnant wife was comfortable, explaining menu items and making sure we were happy with our choices. Ali truly enhanced our dining experience and made us feel special throughout our meal.

The food and service were amazing. Tonight, we had a tomato-heirloom salad, various pasta dishes, roasted carrots, potatoes, and a sunflower dessert with cream. The bread was exceptional, especially with the butter. We were very impressed with the waiter and highly recommend this restaurant.

Beautiful New Year's Supper with dear friends, delicious food. excellent wine list. Superior service for children or any age. we felt completely safe to eat inside and it was calm. perfect night as always.

Long standing New York favorite with a posh professional waitstaff. Craft cocktails, and a sturdy wine list. Alas, the kitchen seems to still be trying to regain its footing post-pandemic. The pasta dishes our party had were unbelievably salty ruining the rest of a somewhat mediocre meal. For such a vanguard of the multi decade New York restaurant revolution, I can only hope that a steady hand returns to rescue the kitchen soon before nostalgia as a motivation to visit fades away.
