Renaissance Harlem - New York City

I recently moved to Harlem and tried the Magret De Canard at a restaurant. It was absolutely fantastic! The duck was cooked to perfection with delicate herb flavors.

I enjoy having raw onion on my burger, so when I saw that the Renaissance Beef Burger was advertised as having a slice of raw onion, I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, the fries did not have truffle flavor as mentioned, and the packaging was not suitable for delivery - everything was packed in a large plastic container and then placed in a bodega plastic bag, causing the food to arrive all smashed together and not hot. Despite these issues, I must admit that the Renaissance Beef Burger still had good flavor. If you prefer cooked onions, this burger may be just right for you.

The Braised Short Ribs were on the small side and overcooked, with a slightly salty taste.

Short ribs were old, hard and dry. Macaroni and cheese lobster was dry and old. You could tell by looking at the noodles. Very disappointing. For the prices you charge your food should be superb and it was it.

I love this restaurant! Just ordered my go to steak, the garlic and flavors were missing! I hope they didnt change the chef and its just due to Easter holiday! The food is usually so flavorful!
